Meet Mr. V!

Alex VillalobosI grew up in San Marcos, California and moved to San Diego to attend the University of San Diego. After I graduated with a double major in Economics and Spanish in 1996, I moved to Madrid, Spain to pursue a Master's Degree in Spanish from Middlebury College.

In 1998, I was hired by San Marcos Unified School District to build a Spanish program at San Marcos Middle School. In 2004, I was hired by San Diego Unified School District and taught Spanish, Economics and Student Government at Crawford High School. I also served as ASB Advisor, department chair, PLC Facilitator and ILT member for ten years. I also was an adjunct professor at the University of San Diego for sixteen years, teaching in the Languages and Literature Department. In 2014, I began my first administrative assignment and became the Vice Principal at Knox Middle School.

In 2018, I became Vice Principal at University City High School. I am extremely excited to be back at the high school level. I am proud to be a UC Centurion!
